Monique Ward is a transplant from Houston, where she worked at the transit authority, METRO in Public Affairs and Planning. While there, she served on numerous boards, including the Houston Urban Land Institute Executive Committee, Upper Kirby TIRZ # 19, and Blueprint Houston.

She has more than twenty-five years of professional experience including tenure in both the public and private sectors.  Her expertise in transportation, community engagement, marketing, commercial real estate, technology, and public relations provides an exceptional foundation for her current role as Chief Planner for the City of Dallas Neighborhood Vitality division of Planning and Urban Design.

Monique has been recognized for her proficiency in effective equitable stakeholder engagement and currently serves as co-chair for the Rockefeller Foundation-Resilient Dallas Transportation Equity Committee.  Monique is passionate about the arts, culture, and all things political. And she is proud to be a Dallas Cowboy’s convert!
